Fig. 2 Volcanic field boundary options, solid lines represent buffered boundaries, dashed lines represent minimum fitted shapes (see text for shape definitions), North is up.
Results indicate that the buffer zone boundary condition using explicit damping of the solution vector after each timestep produces the best non-reflecting performance.
The canonical FG domain (which has the highest FG density) displayed, however, slower intragel diffusion and stronger NTR accumulation near the buffer-gel boundary.
Figure 13B shows that neither Importin β nor Transportin alone were sufficient to ferry the cargo across the buffer-particle boundary.
The stalling at the buffer-gel boundary was very specific and was observed neither for free CRM1 nor for the RanGTP·CAS·Impα export complex.
Much to our surprise, however, we observed that a far larger ≈530 kDa complex, namely a complex comprising four Importin β molecules and an IBB-ZsGreen tetramer, crossed the buffer-particle boundary efficiently and accumulated strongly inside.
For the fitted boundaries (without a buffer) the anisocontour boundary already includes the whole of Al-Madinah, and both the isocontour and elliptical bounds incorporate almost the entire extent of Al-Madinah withen the area deemed susceptible to a future eruption.
For the contour boundaries, which already include a form of buffer zone, the boundary cut-off criteria was set to 10%% of the optimally determined value ('no holes' criterion) of the spatial density, thus increasing the bounds in all directions, but not necessarily by the same distance (Fig. 2).
Ditch boundaries, buffer zones, barn areas and woodland patches were analyzed in Toholampi, Yläne, Nurmijärvi and Liperi localities in Finland over the period 1954 1998 by means of indicators for semi-natural areas, based on calculations of the sum of patch densities (PDsum) and the sum of patch areas (CAsum).
