Figure 5 g plots the SERS intensity in the T channel for AT substitution at five locations in the dsDNA molecule.
In total, 307 septic DIC patients who had AT activity less than 40% and who had undergone AT substitution at a dose of either 1,500 IU/day or 3,000 IU/day for three consecutive days were analyzed.
Haemostatic parameters before AT substitution were as follows: AT, 37 ± 7%; D-dimer, 3,254 ± 1,053 μg/l; PT, 45 ± 9%; and aPTT, 60 ± 5 s.
AT substitution resulted in a significant increase in AT during ECC and until the first postoperative day (POD1), followed by a steep decrease at days 2 5.
In contrast to the pattern at synonymous sites, there was less AT substitution bias observed in intronic sequences, and the correlation between recombination and substitution bias is relatively subtle (Spearman's ρ = −0.035, P = 0.0082), which suggests that gene conversion is not the major factor driving the observed substitution bias.
The whole genome GC-to-AT substitution rate based on whole genome (herein referred to as the AT substitution rate) was higher than the GC substitution rate in both lineages, but the bias was more extreme in D. melanogaster.

Our genomic estimate of GC-to-AT substitution bias (1.914X), which primarily comprised noncoding DNA, is comparable to the mutation bias (2.0X) inferred from sequencing of mutation accumulation lines (Keightley et al. 2009).
In control animals (n = 5, controls) LPS was given without AT III substitution.
The front-of-house team, mostly women from the town, scuttle about the brightly lit dining room inventing numbering systems for the larger tables and resisting any attempts at substitutions.
We have used the common analytical approach (based on synonymous codons alone) that looks at substitutions in the 3rd nucleotide position where most synonymous substitutions are found.
Also, I compare the rate of substitutions AT->GC to all AT <->GC substitutions.
