Pupal wings were dissected at 28 hours APF at 25°C or at 25-26 hours at 29°C and imaged as previously (Strutt, 2001).
Since we use pupae at 16 h APF, at the moment of SOP first division, we suggest that the relatively similar level of ac transcripts observed in SOP and epithelial cells was due to this downregulation phase.
High magnification shows EGFR localization at branches at 56 hr APF (A 2 ) and 72 hr APF (B 2 ).
An initial difference in branch phenotype can be observed at 60 hr APF and subsequently at 72 hr APF, the typical refinement seen in wild type is largely absent in the EGFRDN background.

At the APF between 40 and 45 μEinstein/m/s (Region II), the maximal growth was found to be linearly dependent on both the absorbed light and bicarbonate availability.
In accordance with the QRT-PCR results, sigmar RNA was not detected at 16 hours APF but was detected at 23 hours APF (Fig. 1D), correlating with the initiation of larval salivary gland histolysis.
