In addition, the proposed method has contributed to improving the sinkhole inventory in several ways: (1) detection of non-inventoried sinkholes; (2) identification of previously inventoried sinkholes that have been filled; (3) delineation of sinkhole boundaries; and (4) characterization of sinkhole morphometric properties.

For the smallest sphere investigated in the present study (14 ml), t40 delineation resulted in a difference between PSF and OSEM of only 9%.

While conventional region-of-interest (ROI) analysis enables quantitation of regional changes and serves as the basis for comparing data between individuals both within and across imaging modalities [5], delineation of brain regions through manual ROI drawing is labor-intensive and time-consuming, and is also prone to reproducibility errors [2, 6, 7].
Using the genome data many new findings have been reported including but not limited to studies of the agl gene cluster [54], delineation of 3' and 5' UTRs [55], characterization of small RNAs [56], chromosomal replication [43], [57], RNA modification genes [58], and shotgun proteomics [51], [52].
These include: (1) delineation of OTUs present in a set of sequences, (2) assignment of sequences (or a representative of each OTU) to taxonomic groups, (3) generation and use of phylogenetic trees of all or some sequences, frequently including previously determined sequences as well.
