To explore the question of whether DCA and bicarbonate is a viable therapeutic intervention in metastatic disease we conducted an interventional survival study in mice bearing MDA-MB-231 metastatic breast tumor xenografts divided into four treatment groups 1) untreated; 2) bicarbonate; 3) DCA and 4) DCA-bicarbonate (DB).
