H20 Tracker allows users to inform city authorities instantly of a neighbour's excessive water use, sending a report and pictures with just a few keystrokes.
If you put it in, say, a FTSE 100 tracker that returned 5% a year after inflation, you would have around £88,000 after 30 years, or £152,000 after 40 years.
Over the survey period January 1995 to January 2016, five-year investments begun on the first of each month in a FTSE 100 tracker ended the period lower than they started in 46 out of 192 periods.
