In June 2005 SFI went into administration, and sold 98 of its 150 outlets to the Laurel Pub Company, controlled by Robert Tchenguiz, for £80 million.
Using these data, the SFI, which indicates the differences between the injured and the intact contralateral paw, was calculated by the following formula derived by Bain et al. [ 11]: (1) SFI − 38.3 EPL − NPL NPL + 109.5 ETS − NTS NTS + 13.3 EIT − NIT NIT − 8.8.
By contrast the high reliability (r = 0.93) was comparable to the findings of both previous studies (ICC2.1 SFI-Sp = 0.96, SFI = 0.97).
The 52 SFI values for each subject were then summarized with a single value using the SFI-HT.
From a positive clone (pCMV/ myc/ER/αT2ib/ Sfi I) the αT2ib gene with the CMV promoter was cut out by restriction with Sfi I and Xba I and ligated into dephosphorylated pGEM/IRES/EGFP restricted with Sfi I and Avr II.
The distribution of SFI values in the suspect and glaucoma groups at a single point are shown in Figure 3. SFI values are calculated for all locations in the same way.
Other interesting aspects of the mild group include the fact that 172 subjects were positive by clinical diagnosis only and 118 were positive by only one of the other three tests (21 SFI, 21 GHT, 76 MFC).
PCR amplification of exon 2 of MATN3, which encoded the entire A-domain, was performed using primers MATN3ex2F (5′- ggcccagccggcctgcaagagcagacccttggac-3′, Sfi I restriction site underlined) and MATN3ex2R (5′- gcggccgcacagaaggtttcctggaatct-3′, Not I restriction site underlined) using a standard protocol.
After transformation into E. coli DH5α positive clones (pGEM/αT2ib/IRES/EGFP/ Sfi I) containing the bycistronic expression cassette of the αT2ib gene and the reporter gene EGFP were used for the second step.
pGEM/αT2ib/IRES/EGFP/ Sfi I was restricted with Pvu II and Xba I and the bicystronic expression cassette encompassing the CMV promotor was ligated into the adenoviral vector pAdcos45 EGfrom from which the EGFP gene with the CMV promoter was removed by restriction with Swa I and Xba I.
