The following human melanoma cell lines were maintained in culture as previously described: M14, ROS 184, TRAR 60, LIMA, MAVI 74, CON 242, COPA 159, FORMICA, PLF 1, PLF 2, JR1, JR8, SBcl2, SBcl1, CIR 229, CHM-A, PES 47, PES 43, PES 41, ANAD 63 and COLO 36.
The Sn-PCR was performed in 25 μL reaction mixture with final concentration for a 1× reaction of 1× Qiagen loading buffer (10× Qiagen buffer, Hilden, Germany), 100 μM of each dNTP (Eurogentec, Seraing, Belgium), 0.5 μM PLF, 0.2 μM PKR4, 1 Unit of Qiagen HotstarTaq plus polymerase, and 2 μL DNA (a 1/500 dilution of the primary PCR product was used as the template).

For both tracts, lesioned areas had an average size of 34 µm and were illuminated with short pulses of 710 nm every 40 ms for 250 ms in 60 (plF) to 80 (mACT) cycles in a single focal plane.
After collection of PLF fluid as previously described [ 9], PLF samples (500 μL) from the saline, DOX low (0.05 mg/kg) and APMS-MB-DOX (0.05 mg/kg) treatment groups were centrifuged at 10,000 × g at 4°C for 5 min. Phase locking factors were transformed to Fisher's z values via z = 0.5 log((1+PLF / 1-PLF)) before statistical analyses.
Three of the genes are located approximately 10 Mb away from the main PRL/PL locus; Prl2c4 is found at 12.88 Mb, Prl2c2 (MRP-1/ Plf-1) is found at 13.09 Mb and Prl2c5 (Formerly Mrpplf4, MRP-4 and Plf-4) at 13.27 Mb (Fig 2), representing a Prl2c cluster outside the boundaries of the main PRL/PL locus.
Some discrepancies and confusion remain regarding the Prl2c genes, however, as searches of Ensembl show that Prl2c3 is listed as an alternative name for Prl2c4 (also formerly Mrpplf3, MRP-2, Plf-2 and Plf-3).
The quantitative PL quenching analysis revealed that the quenching rate (∆PL/PL0; ∆PL ≈ PL0 − PLf) was about 0.57.
The supervisor (AF, one of the theorists and teaching psychotherapists of SB-APP) ascertained that all therapists could properly identify and distinguish PLF 1, 2, 3, 4 accordingly to their aforementioned definition.
