The use of a self-assessment scale has been used by many researchers in SLA with effective results (Duan, 2006; Taguchi, et al. 2009; Papi, 2010; Dewaele, 2002; Dewaele, 2005; Zhou, 2016).
In sum, 6,532 participants took part in the paper-assisted conditions in 2005 (PAPI without self-completion: N = 5,137; PAPI assisted: N = 1,395).

The best characterized P. aeruginosa GIs related to pathogenicity are PAGI-1 to PAGI-4, PAPI-1, PAPI-2 and pKLC102 [ 27], but it has not been determined whether these elements can also be found in environmental isolates.
Recently, another member of this ICE Hin1056 subfamily of GEIs, P. aeruginosa pathogenicity island-1 (PAPI-1) was shown to transfer from donor strain into P. aeruginosa recipient strains that do not harbour this island naturally.
