The #28 and #1 GSC lines, instead, were characterized by intermediate levels of the repair enzyme.
Indeed, Hardy et al find a ratio of 1.3 CySCs:1 GSC in larval testes which increases to 1.8 1 in young adults, due entirely to a drop in the number of GSCs (Hardy et al, 1979).
The correctly predicted genes were: bmp4, foxh1.1, frzb, gsc, hhex, mix1, msx1, otx2, vegt, ventx1.2, ventx2.2.
A number of other transcription factors cause relocalization of junctional CDH1, including SIX1 [ 29], Goosecoid (GSC) [ 30] and Forkhead box C2 (FOXC2) [ 31].

We sought to characterize 35 GSC lines at the protein level using label-free quantitative proteomics.
Additional genes more highly expressed in the MdP included Dlx5, Dlx6, Gsc, Hand1 (GeneID: 15110), and Hand2, consistent with their developmental roles in patterning the mandible [24], [26].
Similar processes were prominent in the sets of genes for which skn-1 RNAi reduced expression at 25°C in day-1 WT adults ('SKN-1 upregulated in WT genes'; ≥33% reduction, p < 0.05) (Supplementary file 1b) or day-1 GSC animals ('SKN-1-upregulated in GSC genes'; ≥33% reduction, p < 0.05) (Supplementary file 1c).
On the other hand TNFα induced Nfatc1, Pax1, Lhx5, Gsc, Nkx2-9, Fosl1 and Irf1.
