Colony PCR was used to confirm the presence and/or orientation of AtPAD4 and eGFP using the following primers sets: (1) FMV-F + PAD4-R; (2) eGFP-F + eGFP-R (Table 4).
The predictive power of the model was higher for creatinine-adjusted metabolites compared with unadjusted metabolites, especially for non-FMVs, with little difference between the sample types (total DAP R = 0.57 for FMV and 0.63 for non-FMVs).
The PCV2b viral sequence had the highest similarity with a cluster of Quebec PCV2b isolates (e.g., FMV-05-6507, FMV-05-6302, FMV-05-7389) [ 7] known to induce PMWS and increased mortality rates.

MON-89Ø34-3 is a genetically modified maize containing two transgenes: one chimeric cry1 delta-endotoxin (CRY1A.105) is inserted under the regulation of a Cauliflower Mosaic Virus promoter (CaMV 35S) and a Figwort Mosaic Virus (FMV) 35S promoter driving cry2Ab delta-endotoxin (CRY2AB2) expression.
Children urinated between 3 and 12 times (mean, 5.7 voids) per 24-hr period, and the volume of their individual spot samples ranged from 4.8 to 642.2 mL (mean, 146.6 mL) for FMV samples and from 8.4 to 238.3 mL (mean, 68.1 mL) for non-FMV spot samples.
The creatinine concentration of spot samples ranged from 9.4 to 213.2 mg/dL (mean, 86.6 mg/dL) for FMV samples and from 4.5 to 158.7 mg/dL (mean, 68.6 mg/dL) for non-FMV samples.
The results showed that median urinary 3-PBA concentrations were consistently the lowest in FMV samples (0.77 ng/mL, 0.68 ng/mL-SG, 0.68 ng/mg, and 0.58 ng/min) and the highest in 24-h samples (0.92 ng/mL, 1.06 ng/mL-SG, 1.18 ng/mg, and 1.19 ng/min) across all four methods.
Among creatinine-adjusted total DAP concentration models (Table 3), non-FMV spot samples displayed the poorest reproducibility (ICC = 0.27 for creatinine-adjusted total DAP metabolites).
