Butyrivibrio proteoclasticus B316T, B. crossotus DSM 2876, B. fibrisolvens D1T (DSM 3071), B. hungateii JK615T (DSM 14810), Pseudobutyrivibrio xylanivorans MZ5T (DSM 14809) were grown anaerobically under a CO2 atmosphere in DSM medium 704 (http://www.dsmz.de/media/med704.htm) at 39°C.
