Other factors responsible for axonal development and stabilization include 2′,3′-cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase 1 (CNP-1) gene [ 32] and peroxisomal targeting signal 1 receptor (PEX5) gene [ 33].
The transcription level of the oligodendrocytes marker cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase 1 (CNP-1) was unaltered suggesting a limited role of this cell population in the initiation of host defence.
